YOUR ROLE: We are looking for a focused and industrious junior staff accountant to join our growing team. As a junior staff accountant, you will provide vital support to the senior accountant and help streamline the agency's financial processes.

The Role You Will Play
Maintaining accounts payable, including updating vendor information, processing vendor invoices and addressing vendor inquiries
Preparation of weekly vendor payments to ensure timely payment
Maintaining accounts receivable, including client invoice entry and cash receipts processing
Posting journal entries for month-end close and payroll
Reconciliation of bank transactions with investigation when necessary
Collaborating with client business managers to ensure that all client out-of-pocket expenses are billed and coded accurately
Prepare OOP analysis reports in coordination with client business managers
Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting processes, policies and procedures
Performing other accounting duties or supporting staff as required or assigned, especially during the billing cycle
Working on ad hoc projects as requested
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Minimum of one year in accounting.
Experience in ad agency accounting a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Microsoft Excel – Proficient in advanced functions and formulas to perform VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, graphs and data capture
Microsoft PowerPoint – Possess basic knowledge of PowerPoint
Quickbooks – Proficient in A/P, A/R, bank reconciliation, project-based accounting functions of desktop software; Quickbooks Online experience a plus
Communication – Is attentive and shows interest in the subject; Expresses ideas clearly and accurately
Organization – Creates clear goals, identifies and finds the resources needed to achieve them, and schedules tasks so that work is completed on time
Detail Orientation – Acute attention to detail, with an emphasis on consistency and continuity.
