Be part of a start up Global Medical Affairs team that is focusing on growing current Biotech ( Cell and Gene therapies) medical affairs engagements. The GMA team is part of a bigger medical communications organization. They are hiring Senior and Group Medical Directors, with great opportunity, benefits and compensation. 

You  will have an opportunity to develop clinical content in multiple therapeutic areas (with a specialized focus in working with startup Biotechs developing Cell & Gene therapies), travel to medical conferences, interact with leading experts in the medical field. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members in creating both print and digital deliverables, including supplements, video productions, and materials for medical advisory board events.

The Role You Will Play
  • Medical writing of original research manuscripts
  • Medical writing of Vimeo video scripts and digital and 3-D graphical animations for new technologies, with a specialized focus in startup Biotechs developing Cell & Gene therapies
  • Direct accountability for the execution of strategic communications services, global publication planning and IR/scientific conference planning for scientific, clinical, and real-world evidence (RWE) for a broad audience including healthcare professionals (HCPs), payers, and patients
  • Develop integrated corporate, IR, medical and scientific lexicon platforms, with a specialized focus in startup Biotechs developing new Cell & Gene therapies
    Responsible for development of slide decks for educational programs, congress symposia, advisory boards, and other key external scientific communications and medical information services (sales and field medical affairs training slide decks, ad board content and slide decks, standard response letters,
    FAQs, etc.)
  • Closely monitor the published literature and follow medical developments and competitive landscape for startup Biotechs developing new Cell & Gene therapies
    Responsible for ensuring all publications and scientific communications are aligned with the client’s medical strategy, scientifically accurate and fair balanced, and in compliance with policies and publication and compliance guidelines
  •  Responsible to work in close collaboration with the EVP, Medical Affairs to execute the strategic efforts of assigned projects in support of clinical-stage product candidates for select clients and strategic partners
  • Lead content development for multiple projects and activities with minimal supervision by the EVP, Medical Affairs
 
 Background Profile
 
  • A minimum of an advanced life sciences degree, required. PhD or PharmD, preferred
  • relevant experience working directly in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry, but will take a fresh PHD grad that has experience in Cell and Gene therapy. 
  • Broad understanding of drug development process, clinical research, and clinical trial designs Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry laws, FDA and international regulations, and guidelines regarding medical information, scientific material review & management, and scientific communications
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with external experts, investigators, journal editors and publishers and professional organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex scientific and medical information to a range of audiences including scientists & researchers, patient advocates, key opinion leaders (KOLs), payers, and policy influencers
  • Ability to create new ways to visualize the scientific narrative and develop slide decks to support
  • Clinical Development and Medical Affairs goals and objectives
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and projects to within budget
    Scientific knowledge and experience in oncology, rare diseases, neurology, cell & gene therapy is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, analyze and work with attention to detail, process and prioritize complex information, and problem solve
