SVP Marketing & Communications - Pharma Advertising Agency

This candidate will work directly and collaboratively with our new PR Agency of Record and other outside agency partners. Must have Healthcare experience, (systems, medical device, large group practices).

The Role You Will Play
  • Responsible for raising awareness and leading the marketing team.
  • The SVP of Marketing is responsible for all aspects of marketing including Website, Sales Tools, Branding, Lead Generation, Advertising, Public Relations and Analyst Relations
  • Manage the Marketing Team to establish corporate brand and website, demand generation and content functions, as well as strategy and tactical implementation.
  • Drive corporate brand and messaging through website, content, and demand generation coordination to ensure brand consistency on web and mobile applications.
  • Set the vision for and manage execution of innovative and cost effective annual, quarterly and interim marketing campaigns.
  • Plan and implement integrated marketing and PR strategy that include direct marketing, sales tools, PR & AR plans, events, social media marketing, advertising, SEO/SEM strategies
  • Manage the corporate website, utilizing both internal and external resources, including SEO, SEM, blogging, content development, and analytics; constantly look for ways to improve website traffic and conversions
  • Create engaging content, leverage social media opportunities, and build brand awareness for Health Monitor
  • Develop, test, execute and analyze online and email campaigns; monitor and communicate results and optimize for continuous improvement
  • Partner with sales, editorial, and association teams to build customer evangelists in order to create PR, media, and other marketing opportunities
  • Ensure that campaigns, assets, communications, and messaging are aligned to corporate branding initiatives
  • Create marketing collateral and sales tools including brochures, datasheet, presentations, proposals, graphics, diagrams, etc.
  • Identify, plan, and coordinate both online and onsite events including webinars, tradeshows, seminars, or customer events
  • Analyze and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly activities, and ROI for all marketing initiatives
  • Manage and supervise the marketing team consisting of Associate Director of Marketing, Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Intern
  • Supervise and manage all projects flowing through marketing department
  • Write and/or review and obtain approval for all press releases and other communications
  • Identify and cultivate the company’s relationships with key top-of-line press and social media influencers and bloggers; also direct relationships with trade press/influencers in support of business line communications.
  • As needed, craft messages for an internal audience (employees)
  • Maintain familiarity with best practices in marketing theory and market research and analysis techniques and resources.
  • Present reports on success of marketing initiatives to senior management and other department leads.
  • Facilitate innovation in new products and offerings based on market research and customer inputs.
  • Reports directly into the President
Background Profile
  • Highly self-motivated with a focus on producing stellar results with detail orientation

  • Experience developing and managing budgets, and hiring, training, developing, supervising and appraising personnel
  • Ability to drive people and projects to meet deliverables, budget, and timelines
  • Desire and aptitude to work both in a hands-on as well as strategic capacity
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines
  • BA/BS degree is required; Postgraduate qualifications, PhD, MBA, or other graduate degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in marketing in Pharmaceutical, Pharma Services, Media Agency or related company with a stable work history and demonstrated results through sustained tenure.
  • 5+ years strategic brand management and Digital Marketing
