In this leadership role,  your responsibilities will be:
  • Client Management
    • Possess an in-depth understanding of client business issues, industry, competitors, and brands
    • Communicate effectively—and be credible—with senior and executive clients
  • Project Management
    • Passionately defend, grow, and manage key accounts
    • Coauthor and present groundbreaking marketing communication plans
    • Ensure plans are strategically sound and imaginative
    • Contribute productively to creative concept reviews on major campaigns, providing thoughtful insights on the work and possible client reactions
    • Attend and help sell creative work on major campaigns
    • Ensure consistency of voice across communication channels and that the voice of the customer/consumer is represented in creative work
  • Leadership
    • Coach Account team throughout all stages of development to ensure the work meets client expectations, and is on brand and on strategy
    • Be actively engaged in the day-to-day development of Account team and other department teams
    • Give individuals freedom to try out new ideas and grow
    • Provide inspiring team training and thoughtful input on career road maps
    • Allocate resources effectively, balancing client needs with profitability
    • Provide specific behavioral feedback, and model those behaviors
  • Business Management
    • Create thought-provoking scopes of work that reflect client needs
    • Develop important methodologies and work practices designed to enhance company performance and profitability
    • Has a keen, almost intuitive sense of financial implications of business decisions
    • Identify organic growth opportunities
    • Partner with peers to create innovative ways to impact business results
    • Partner with Strategy to provide business context; help form insights into the category, competitive environment, brand health, and customer
    • Understand results and adapt programs to maximize ROI and create new agency opportunities
  • Department Responsibilities
    • Ensure the agency operates on a solid foundation by building strong, impenetrable senior client relationships
    • Use these insights to help clients articulate their needs, and help the agency propose groundbreaking solutions
    • Be viewed as a strong leader by agency colleagues
    • Integrate seamlessly with agency peers to facilitate collaboration and innovation
    • Resolve conflict easily and quickly, reducing organization and interpersonal issues

Work experience necessary for alignment and success in this role:
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical agency experience and direct client/ brand account management
  • Ability to travel based on clients’ needs
