Senior Medical Director - Remote - Lead Development of Strategic Medical Communications in a Collaborative Team Environment

Top Must-Haves for the Medical Directors / Sr. Medical Directors
  • MD, PharmD, or PhD degree
  • 5+ years of experience with a medical education company or clinical equivalent
  • Publication Experience
  • Experience in developing medical and marketing concepts through critical analysis of data, distilling complex technical information for a variety of medical audiences, and developing scientific overviews and publication concepts for proposals
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Multiple Sclerosis, Migraine, Rare Disease, Oncology and/or HEOR experience preferred but not essential
  • Proven managerial expertise
Day-to-Day Activities for the Medical Director / Sr. Medical Director
  • Mentor Medical Associates and Associate Medical Directors by assessing and giving timely and constructive feedback to aid in development plans for junior team members
  • Provide therapeutic area expertise to assigned brand teams - Multiple Sclerosis, Migraine, Rare Disease, Oncology and/or HEOR experience is a plus!
  • Build relationships with clinical and research executives in the pharmaceutical industry as well as academic opinion leaders
  • Plan, manage, and review scientific presentations and publications and help develop medical education programs 
  • Work closely with Account Director to ensure that content meets the expectations of the client; drive client meetings when the discussion centers on the scientific communication for the brand; provide input into the annual planning process with the client
  • Lead medical team in meeting both timeline and budgetary parameters
  • Work closely with Medical Writers to ensure on-target communication, clinical accuracy, and delivery of projects on time and within budget
  • Represent the company at selected educational
