Top Must-Haves for the VP, GAS
  • At least 5 years of client facing experience in a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical marketing agency.
  • Managed markets experience
  • Supervisory experience in managing Client Services staff
Day-to-Day Activities for the VP, GAS
  • New Business Capabilities: Demonstrates capability of growing TAG MM’s business within assigned client base
  • Industry Knowledge: Understands and stays abreast of issues and events that have an impact on our business and industry; gains insight into the ways that key events could impact our business goals. Exhibits to TAG MM staff and clients thorough knowledge of the health care industry, the medical marketing and communications fields, disease-specific issues, and clinical data that are of vital importance to both
  • Profitability (budget preparation/management and financial reporting): Emphasizes the fundamental importance of contributing to profitability; chooses courses of action that will enhance TAG MM’s financial strength, now and in the future
  • Client Development and Project Innovation: Demonstrates efforts to grow existing business and consistently strives to do things better for clients. Develops various marketing programs within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Management: Provides sound leadership and is available to staff. Effectively develops staff through the performance appraisal process
  • Team player: Works effectively on cross-functional teams with top decision-makers. Demonstrates commitment to shared team goals; encourages all team members to contribute their ideas and skills; values the contributions of others; and does an equal share of the work
