In General:
  • Your responsibilities include fostering close, positive working relationships to build loyalty and contribute to ongoing profitability.
  • You ‘ll also have project and work-flow management, and client-facing activities and relationship building – the role is much bigger than it sounds.
  • Clients include Pet Care, Senior Living/ HealthCare, Business and Financial Services, Manufacturing and Hospitality and Tourism which means there’s a lot to do and a lot you’ll learn which will further develop your skills. 
In Particular:
  • You’ll be focusing on several clients in a growing categories.
  • You’ll be involved in developing and promoting events, producing broadcast, digital and online communications, all with the objectives of generating interest and sales leads.
  • You’ll get instant feedback since you’ll be monitoring various dashboards – that will give you the opportunity to tweak communications as needed. 
In Your Case:
  • Now to break into this Michigan Ave. agency, you should have 1-3 years of agency experience, ideally B2B or similar responsibilities from the client side. 
  • College degree, of course.
  • Enthusiasm for the advertising business, ability to handle details while still seeing the big picture are all expected.
  • You’ll want to bring well-grounded marketing skills, the ability to think strategically and creatively, a familiarity with print – including direct and collateral, as well as digital and social media.
  • You should bring great verbal and written communication skills -- be able to write smart briefs and do budget management.
