Senior Account Director - Self Starter - New Office {Remote (East Coast) is an option)

Location: Boston, MA
Our 13-year-old pharma agency client who is starting a Boston office is growing and needs an experienced Senior Account Director, The individual will provide strategic support to pharmaceutical company clients

This well-established agency has a long history of growth and in a strong position to expand its services.
Their culture is collaborative as well as collegial as most of the growth has come from internal referrals

Top Must-Haves:
  • MD, PharmD, or PhD degree
  • 5+ years of experience with a medical communications company or clinical equivalent
  • Experience in developing medical and marketing concepts through critical analysis of data, distilling complex technical information for a variety of medical audiences, writing proposals, and editing documents
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing 
Day-to-Day Activities for the Senior Account Director
  • Mentor Medical Associates and Associate Medical Directors by assessing and giving timely and constructive feedback to aid in development plans for junior team members
  • Provide therapeutic area expertise to assigned brand team(s) - HEOR experience a plus!
  • Represent the company at selected educational and client meetings and business pitches
  • Develop solutions for team(s) based on project prioritization and resource projections
  • Build relationships with clinical and research executives in the pharmaceutical industry as well as academic opinion leaders
  • Plan, manage, and review scientific presentations and publications and help develop medical education programs
 

Competitive base salary is commensurate with experience
